It’s with great pride that we announce a new solo show from one of our absolute creative heroes, the legendary artist and writer Steve ESPO Powers. “Charlie Mae and Espo Does” opens to the public next Thursday night, March 19, from 6-9pm.Over the past three decades, Powers has become one of the most recognizable voices to come out of graffiti culture—bridging street art, sign painting, and contemporary art. His work blends hand-painted typography, humor, and sharp observations about love, cities, and everyday life.Beyond the gallery, Powers has organized public art projects around the world—from repainting vendor signage through the Dreamland Artists Club in Coney Island to creating murals with local youth in Dublin and Belfast as a Fulbright fellow. His work has appeared in galleries internationally and in publications like The New York Times, Juxtapoz, and Artforum.
