An Opening Note From The Family At Preacher

To friends old and new,

No amount of sideways precipitation could dampen the gratitude we’ve felt for the

people we’ve met in the home of our first foray across the Atlantic. In Amsterdam.

The warmth of your welcome matched by the fertile soil for creative adventures. For

nurtured perspectives. For growth of spirit. We are filled with humility as we land into

a new place and struck with a sense of presence as we navigate the culture shaped by

generations, the land which you’ve skillfully reclaimed, and the unspoken rules of the

roads we now ride.

As for this publication, The Good Word. It has always been an excuse. A most selfish

and generous offering. A pure one at that. Born of our hunger to collide with artists we

admire in the cities we love. To share their talents with those inside and outside of those

big villages. It’s an exchange where these creative souls find first-time eyes and those

eyes find tactile inspiration. This inaugural brilliant group, all based in The Netherlands,

does not disappoint. Craft has proven to be a common language. And serendipity can

indeed be manifested.

Near and far, we hope you’ll think of us, and each other. Bluebonnets have begun to

bloom back in Austin. Tulips won’t be far behind around here. Beautifully exciting

times ahead, vriendin.

Gratefully yours,

The Family at Preacher
