To our Friends and Family, 


In the sun of early March, a seedling worn from a winter’s weather, its hard coat broken by rain and wind, sprouts two cotyledons and eventually a rosette of blue petals, three to ten centimeters long with a faint white edge, and blossoms into the Texas Bluebonnet, one of thousands of its kind that litters the acre-long prairie just south of Onion Creek and southern more of Austin Bergstrom International airport where, in that same sun of early March, the flightpath of thousands of South By Southwest visitors buzz overhead to enjoy 9 days of tech, film, music and the first licks of spring. 


More than likely it was that flightpath above the bluebonnets that brought you here, and we are thankful for all three—you, our state flower, and responsible air-traffic controlling—for making this part of every year all the more beautiful. 


And much like the Bluebonnet we use this time of year to put forth our own annual bloom—a bouquet of Austin-based artists who continually inspire us and help us become better artists ourselves. For we know that to Spread the Good Word often means spreading the words and images and designs of others whose talents awe us. We are continually grateful and humbled to know so many, to work with so many, and to work on behalf of so many.
